Private Well-Homeowner

The Environmental Health Unit is committed to ensuring a safe and sustainable water supply for the residents of Kendall County. The Unit's Potable Water Supply Program serves as the foundation of this effort. As part of this program, Unit staff perform plan reviews, issue permits, and conduct inspections for the construction or repair of water wells, and for the capping or sealing of decommissioned wells. Additionally, the Unit performs investigations of drinking water-related issues and illness. For a fee, the unit may be secured to conduct private water well sampling, and inspections of an existing private well as part of a Property Transaction inspection.
